OK, picture being on the patio of the Santa Fe Amphitheater Opera House for the first time, it's August at dusk, a half hour before "The Barber of Seville" will start. Lightning sparks the darkening clouds in the surrounding mountains, heightening the drama. You make new friends at the wine bar and order a glass of pinot gris, a summer favorite. This wine was the perfect pairing with such a wonderful evening - remarkably pleasant and sophisticated; very enjoyable both then and when we ordered some from the winery to savor the memories.
